version of its flagship product, Resource Planner
/ MFG. Release 3.0 adds key functionality designed
to increase productivity and expand scope of functionality.
With these new features, ADAKsystems software better
meets the needs of businesses where tracking lots
through the manufacturing process and improved accountability
with vendors are critical.
Chris Trow, president of ADAKsystems, outlined the three
major areas of product improvement. In the traceability area, we have
added the ability to trace lots from raw material vendors, through the
manufacturing process, to specific items shipped. For example, in roll
production, any components or roll goods coming in can be traced to specific
item slits going being shipped out. In the purchasing area, we have improved
the traceability of materials being sent to outside vendors for processing,
whether those materials are company owned or on consignment. We have
also added blanket purchase orders that streamline the receiving for
unexpected goods when this policy has been authorized. For customers
that ship internationally, we now provide the ability to convert to foreign
currencies, include special shipping documentation, and track vessel
status.
